Job Description

Front Desk Assistants act as the friendly face of CLAS. They greet visitors, provide information about CLAS, help students sign up for and locate services, create and share informational resources in print and on social media, and even represent CLAS at events and meetings. Front Desk Assistants also assist with light clerical work as needed. Communication and organizational skills are important for this position, and additional interests in social media outreach and/or graphical designs are preferred but not required.

Front Desk Assistants (FDAs) are expected to work 7-10 hours per week on average. Hours are entirely in person and are scheduled between 9 A.M. and 7 P.M. around course schedules. All FDAs are required to attend mandatory training in Week 0 (Week of Welcome) of Fall Quarter.

FDAs do not work on school holidays and have the option to work during Finals Week. This position is paid hourly, and all training is paid.
