Hi! My name is Kristen Ikeda Yoza, and I am your CLAS Writing & Languages Coordinator. I am also a UCSB alum; I entered UCSB as a transfer student and graduated in 2011 with a BA in Linguistics. Encouraged by my mentor, I then completed an MA in Linguistics at Eastern Michigan University. After completing my degree, I decided it was finally time to achieve my goal of living and working abroad! I got a job in Japan living on the island of Shikoku, where I was able to gain experience teaching English in Japan. I love to travel, read, and bake! A fun fact about me is that I have a pet bunny!
