Study Lounge Neon Sign

Find your study space in the new CLAS Study Lounge, located in the Student Resource Building Room 3231.

Informed directly by student feedback, the CLAS Study Lounge provides a variety of individual and group study space and an abundance of the most sought-after element of any student study space: a place to charge a personal device.

For students studying on their own, there is a café-style counter mounted to the wall with elevated outlets where students can sit and study with minimal distractions. There are also individual stations situated along an ocean-view window, each with its own standard and USB outlet and separated from the others by dividers.

For group work, the Study Lounge features a large “campfire” table with wheelchair accessibility and outlets embedded in the table. There is also a couch available with several writing desks, facing a nine-foot whiteboard on the wall. Finally, two tables with room for four students each are located toward the back of the room on casters, so that they can be easily pushed together to accommodate a group of eight students if needed.

In total, the Study Lounge has three large whiteboards, three styles of seating, and accommodates up to 26 students at one time, with 22 of those seats having direct access to charging outlets. Currently the Lounge is available until 8 P.M. on weekdays (5 P.M. on Fridays.)
