My love for teaching and tutoring blossomed in undergrad, during which time I was a tutor and also part of a team of undergrads with the privilege of teaching a survey course in mathematics. These two differing dynamics illuminated in me the inherent variation and dynamics in education. The satisfaction I feel when working with students and helping them reach a conclusion to an exercise was further reinforced in graduate school where I was a TA. I obtained a BS in Mathematics from James Madison University in 2019 and an MA in Mathematics from UCSB in 2021. My perpetually developing pedagogical philosophy is that anyone can learn anything and that teaching must reflect the diversity of thought and human experience. Outside of teaching, my interests include reading, history, metal, video games and reggaeton!
