CLAS provides employment for over 160 graduate and undergraduate students. Tutoring can provide an excellent experience for students who are considering teaching as a profession, or find it rewarding to assist students in achieving academic excellence. Working as an Intake Assistant can help further develop interpersonal communication skills and as well as organizational skills Tutors For tutor eligibility students must have a junior standing and a 3.0 or higher GPA overall. Tutors must have an interest in teaching and demonstrate an ability to explain course material and effective study strategies. We accept applications for tutor positions beginning in Spring Quarter and positions are filled by the end of summer for the following school year. Applications are accepted year round as positions become available. Intake Assistants Intake Assistants greet incoming students, answer questions about services, and enroll students for services. Intake Assistants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of CLAS services, and sophomore status. Intake positions are filled during Spring Quarter for the following school year.
